FINALLY proper spring is on the horizon, and over the past week, we've had spots and stretches of gorgeous sunny weather. And you know what that means in my book: SANDAL WEATHER! Maybe it's because I'm a hippie at heart, maybe I just like showing off my cute pedicure, but few things make me as happy as that casual, effortless feeling of slipping my feet in a pair of sandals before walking out the door. This particular pair of silver, medium height block heel sandals was gifted to me by Torfs, and it was love at first sight.

I'm always on the lookout for cute, elegant shoes with a *sensible* heel height (yes, I'm secretly 79 years old) because that is my personal battle against unrealistic beauty standards: real women hardly ever wear towering stiletto pumps in daily life because that shit is uncomfortable, bad for your back and feet, and completely impractical. In addition, my heels keep slipping out of pumps, and I know I'm not the only one who can't wear 'em. However, the classic high heeled pump remains a staple in fashion magazines and on tv, even if women can barely wear them.

Other glamorized items that don't seem designed for actual life: strapless onepiece bathing suits, skintight dresses in non-structured fabrics, and wearing shoes (not sandals) without socks. EF THAT, this is a real woman heel: a cute, comfortable heeled sandal that won't break your back or keep slipping off. Sensible enough for the office and funky enough to wear to a party. Winner! It's much better for your wallet to just accept that pumps are pretty much the least practical shoe on the planet and divert your aesthetic preferences elsewhere.

Hope you like the outfit and that you're enjoying those stunning magnolia trees everywhere!
