I guess I'm sort of pushing you as far as I can until you scream "STOP ANNEBETH THAT IS AS SEVENTIES AS YOU MAY GO". Am I there yet? I feel like Almost Famous' Penny Lane in this outfit, and that is never ever a bad thing. Well, unless you are referring to overdosing on quaaludes because an asshole rockstar broke your heart. Don't do that. DO wear so-tacky-they're-awesome lace up tops, though.

As I said when I showed you my other lace up top: despite being very trendy, these are still surprisingly hard to find, so I was happy to find a few cute options at Shein. The lace up top I'm wearing here is just $12, which makes it a great option if you want to try the trend without spending a lot of cash on something you might only wear a couple of times. And as much as I prefer a closet filled with timeless quality pieces, sometimes you just have to allow yourself an injection of fast fashion fun, to keep things fresh and stimulate your creativity. I really like the flared sleeves, and I can't fault the fit or the construction, on par with H&M or Zara quality. A tip: if you don't want to wear this with the laces too loosened up, size up so you have some extra room in the bust. I prefer wearing these with a nude bra for the daytime, otherwise I feel a bit too exposed.

 Have a lovely weekend!
